GEORGIA HOME HEALTH CARE & HOSPICE DEPLOYS HOMECARE HOMEBASE AUTOMATED SOLUTION FOR GROWTH
January 30, 2008
(Dallas, TX) – Georgia Home Health Care & Hospice (GHHC) today announced a partnership with Homecare Homebase to deploy an agency automation solution that will support their aggressive growth plans. GHHC, operating since 1979, realized that in order to keep up continued expansion, they were going to need a more sophisticated software partner.

GHHC’s main focus was to find an agency automation solution that would allow them to grow quickly, while maintaining their current high level of care. They needed a system that was easy to set up and could be customized to their agency processes across each of their service lines.

“We are planning to grow both our homecare and hospice divisions across multiple states and realized our current system was never going to get us there. Given the industry’s move towards a paperless solution, coupled with the complexities of the new PPS rules, we needed a new partner. Homecare Homebase was the perfect choice,” said William K. Abbot, Owner/VP Operations, Georgia Home Health Care & Hospice, Lyons, GA. “We shopped around, and looked at several systems. Homecare Homebase was by far the best fit. Not only does this system meet our requirements, it was developed by homecare nurses for use in the homecare market. There is a high level of trust that comes from working with someone who speaks our same language,” said Lisa McCollough, CFO Georgia Home Health Care & Hospice.

Developed by healthcare professionals, Homecare Homebase offers real-time, wireless information exchange and communication between the office, field staff and physicians and gives GHHC the ability to automate all clinical and back office processes, and easily take on new patients. The system is also very easy to roll out, allowing it to scale quickly. “We need to be able to set up new branches fast and this system lets us do that. It’s easy to add new users and training is not complicated,” said William Abbot. “It ultimately allows us to achieve our goal of rapid growth while maintaining the highest level of controls and management to ensure successful expansion and the best delivery of patient care.”

“Our software is built for scalability and growth, ideal for an agency preparing to expand. It allows an agency to roll out new offices and add staff quickly, while maintaining consistent operations and financial control,” said Tom Maxwell, COO of Homecare Homebase, Dallas, TX. “With Homecare Homebase, Georgia Home Health Care & Hospice can remain a viable competitor in the industry as they continue to expand across the Southeast.”
